June's Friday Favorites
It’s the last Friday of the month, so you know we’re discussing favorites of June. It finally feels like summer has arrived so rooftops, refreshing drinks and pretty meals are the hot thing of the season. I’m a big fan of reuniting with friends over some cocktails and after work happy hours, so I finally feel like June has given permission to be great and thrive!
This month’s favorites are compositions of some of my favorite restaurants and bars. It seems like new restaurants and bars are popping up in Charlotte this summer, so I’m excited to check out the new spots! But, in the meantime check out my favorites of this month…
Favorites of the Month [foodie edition]
1. Rosemont Bar
This new spot has it all - $6 ADULT CAPRI SUNS, drink specials, spiked milkshakes, frozen slushes, live bands, mobile charging stations and GREAT VIBES. I've been here twice already and it's been crowded each time. This just confirms Charlotte needed this place! There are daily drink specials along with some great food...try the peel & eat shrimp because you won't regret it - trust me.
2. Whiskey Warehouse
Nestled in Plaza Midwood, Whiskey Warehouse is the perfect spot for good drinks and even better views. The rooftop deck allows for a great view of Uptown Charlotte with the chillest vibe of them all.
I went for the first time on a Sunday and their specials included $2 Mimosas, $4 Bloody Mary Bar and $5 Titos. A good mention is that they have 1/2 off appetizers M-Fr. 4 - 6 p.m.
3. Ninety's Ice Cream & Sandwiches
Ice cream is available year round, but it just tastes so much better on a warm summer day. This place has the cutest ice cream that was made for Instagram. Customizable ice cream just how you want it! Super inventive desserts ready to be had this summer!
4. The Original Pancake House
I've been in Charlotte 3 years and I'd never made it to The Original Pancake House, but thanks to some friends had the best breakfast ever! I got the Philly Cheesesteak omelette (that comes with pancakes) and home fries.
